Cameroon Barista Championship: 8 finalists known

Eight contestants have made it to the finals of ongoing Cameroon Barista Championship currently taking place at the NCCB Laboratory in Douala.

The Head Jury, Régine Leonie  of the African Fine Coffees Association( AFCA) assisted by five judges, made the verdict on Thursday January 9, 2025 after the end of the first round.

The twenty (20) Contestants representing top coffee shops/bars/restaurants and brands from every region in the country were rated on Espresso, Milk beverage and technical evaluation. 

Amongst the eight Finalists are: 

  1. FRANCINE (Maison du Cafe Yaounde)
  2. ANGÈLE (Terrific coffee)
  3. STÉPHANE (K-Hotel-Douala)
  4. PATRICK (Hotel la Falaise -Akwa)
  5. QUINTA (NWCA-Bamenda)
  6. NDE SANGO (Terrific coffee)
  7. JANE (Coffee House-Akwa)
  8. CYNTHIA (Terrific coffee)

The final is scheduled for Friday January 10, 2025 at 1pm, with the winner expected to represent Cameroon at the all African Barista Championship to take place in Dar Es Salam, Tanzania in the months ahead.
