AFCA Cameroon Chapter Holds General Assembly to Review Progress and Prepare for 21st AFCA Conference/Exhibition
The Cameroon Chapter of the African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA) held its General Assembly in Douala on Wednesday, bringing together chapter members from all the segments of the coffee value chain.
Presided over by the General Manager of NCCB, Mr Michael NDOPING and assisted by the President of the Cameroon Chapter Betrand NGAKO, the meeting served as a platform to review the main activities carried out during the 2023/2024 period and to set strategic priorities for 2025.
During the session, the chapter members took stock of the progress made in the year 2023/2024, highlighting major initiatives aimed at improving quality, capacity building and market access.
Key achievements included the organisation of 4th edition of the National Taste of Harvest, and the First edition of the National Barista Championship with the winners ready to represent Cameroon at the 21st Edition of the AFCA Conference and Exhibition scheduled from February 26-28, 2025 in Dar es Salam Tanzania.
Another focus of the General Assembly was strategize on Cameroon’s participation at the AFCA Conference and Exhibition so as to showcase Cameroon’s coffee potential, enhance networking opportunities, and attract new business partnerships during the event.
The assembly also officially renewed the mandate of the Executive Bureau of AFCA Cameroon, to drive the organization’s vision forward. The leadership received firm orientations to establish a clear and detailed roadmap in the weeks ahead to accelerate development across all aspects of the coffee value chain.
